One of the things I read in “The Truth About Six Pack Absâ€, that changed my perspective of my daily habits, was the importance of having breakfast. Before reading about it, I was the kind of guy that never had any type of breakfast because I simply didn’t feel that hungry during the morning. Boy I was wrong.
One of the worst things you can do to lose weight is skipping your meals. When your body doesn’t have food in an amount of time, it enters a state of “fat storageâ€, in order to prevent running out of energy. Not only that, but you are also slowing your metabolism.
Sleeping takes 8 hours (or at least it should take that amount of hours), and this period of time is enough for your body to enter the “fat storage stateâ€. So, every time you skip breakfast, you are actually mining your weight loss efforts. Mike in his book recommends eating as soon as you get up, instead of waiting to exercise and then eating.
I followed the advice, and started eating breakfast. It not only helped accelerating my metabolism, but also gave me more energy. However, you have to eat healthy food. I personally eat a simple fruit salad of papaya and banana, along with a cup of green tea. That’s a great combination and it is easy to prepare.
