What are liquid calories? Well the name is quite self explanatory, its calories that come in liquids.
However these liquid calories are more important then they seem. Because of liquid calories many have a difficult time losing weight and keeping it off. Many count only food calories and forget about the calories that come in liquids. Also many think that liquids carry less carries when for example there are as many calories in a big tumbler of iced tea (made from a commercial mix) as there are in four cookies!
So if your looking to loose weight or keep lost weight off you’re better off sticking to the good ol’ H20. Water contains no calories of course.
A cookie has 50 calories. A small brownie has 100 calories. A slice of cake has 250 calories. Now visualize: Iced tea is the same as four cookies. A smoothie is two brownies. A frapuccino is a slice of cake. So the best way to avoid liquid calories is to think of them as desserts or a snack, something you should have once in a while.
