Unrefined carbs are better for you because they aren&#039;t absorbed as quickly by the body..basically they don&#039;t give the body an overload  shot of sugar that goes straight to fat.  They help regulate blood sugar - no big spikes and drops.  Quite a few of them  also have a load of fiber with them..but that&#039;s another post.</description>
