The Worst Stomach Exercises

Like in all aspects in life there are good things and there are bad things. With stomach exercises there’s no exception to this rule, there are certain “recommended” stomach exercises that can produce injury from excessive strain or weird postures. Let’s have a look at some of them

Bent Over Twists

This exercise starts with the person holding a bar behind their neck with the arms stretched. The next step is bending forward from the waist so the back is parallel to the floor. Then you begin twisting from left to right.

I found a lot of people practicing this exercises, to then fell the back injured from too much strain. This is not needed in order to get good abs, specially if you are not accustomed to working out and your ligaments are not that strong.

Roman Chair Situps

This exercise require your thighs to be parallel to the ground. This will stretch your rectus abdominus and force your spine beyond what is considered safe.

Generally you will fell when an exercise I wrong for you, be very aware, especially if it involves the back and spine. Listen to your body and you’ll get in less trouble.
