start-losing-pounds.jpgWhy people quit their diets? There are so many people that want to lose weight but they still sabotage their own efforts. This is in great part due to how weight loss plans are elaborated. A lot of weight loss plans with strict diets don’t take into account the increase demand of energy from because of the exercise.

The main trick is to keep your body ‘fuelled’. Instead of sticking to a diet plan that doesn’t consider your body’s needs, follow these easy tips that will help you stay on your diet to start losing pound after pound:

Drink water. The amount of water you drink is critical when you are on a diet and also doing exercises. Sarah Stanner, nutrition scientists of the British Nutrition Foundation says “You burn carbs and fat at the same time, your body will need a lot more water.”

Don’t be hungry. Take off your usual diet 500 – 600 calories max a day. You must eat a great variety of foods: raw meat, fruits, vegetables and complex carbs. Whole proteins will also let you feel full AND they help you reconstructing your muscles.

Take Multivitamins. Are you feeling tired? Maybe your new diet is not providing you enough Vitamin B, essential to extract the energy from foods.

Avoid Sugar. Sugared drinks are catastrophic if you combine them with a weight loss diet. You’ll only end up sabotaging yourself when you require energy for your workout.

Fill up your tank. Right after workout, eat a lot of fruits, vegetables and grains to provide your body with the needed glycogens. This way you won’t fill so tired the next day.

One final element: . If you are serious about losing weight and achieving better health, your best ally is discipline. You must work on getting more each passing day, until your diet and exercise become your lifestyle.
