When I decided that it was time to lose all the excess weight I had, the most difficult thing to accept was the fact that I needed to focus on good nutrition instead of exercises. Don’t get me wrong, stomach exercises are also needed if you want to see faster results, but if you don’t focus primarily on nutrition, you’ll see no gains.
I started the way most people start: the wrong way – cutting off my meals.
Sure, it seems logical, but as I soon found out, this was not the way to go. In fact there is an undeniable truth that the great majority of people fail to accept: eating more will make you lose weight. I’ll say it again to avoid mistakes: eating more will make you lose weight.
Why? I’ll put it in a simple way.
Every time you eat, your body starts the process of metabolism. An increased metabolism will help us get rid of fat much more quickly. So, if you eat more times throughout the day, you are boosting your metabolism and burning excess fat. At the same time, you’re keeping your body full and are way less prone to binging.
However, you need to do it wisely. Don’t eat more of high calories foods, eat more of healthy foods. So, if you’re currently eating 3 meals a day, increase that to 5 meals a day. Make a schedule of your meals, get your body used to it. I did that, and EVEN with my weekly “day-offâ€, I managed to lose weight. No exercises, no nothing but that. It is amazing.
So, why people keep on starving themselves to lose weight? I’ve been there, so my take is that when people learn about this fact they reject it because they’re always told that eating more will make us fat. It’s so hard to break beliefs, but you just have to do it. Take a leap of faith. This is a small step to take daily, but it will have a great impact in your health. And, if we take weight loss in small steps we are going to see much better results.
Don’t think about it. It works, so as Nike says: Just do it!
