There are lots of people whose main goal right now is to get a six pack stomach. However, they do exercise after exercise thinking that they can turn fat into muscle, without understanding that the first thing to do in order to get the six pack stomach is burning the belly fat. In fact, you can do a few exercises and have six pack stomach just by lowering your body fat to a minimum. So, are you up for it?
As you may hopefully know after reading some of the posts in this blog, lowering your body fat requires two main things: a cardio routine and a healthy diet (No fad diets please!). But, besides those two factors, there are other things we can do in order to get that six pack stomach to show. Here I leave you with 7 tips to get a six pack stomach in less time:
-
Don’t eat while watching TV. Your mind will be on the TV show or movie, and you won’t notice how much you are eating. Studies show that people overeat when they are watching TV.
-
Don’t skip breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. When you wake up, your metabolism is accelerated, this means accelerated fat burning. It will also let you cope better with hunger throughout the day. And, it is more likely that you burn the calories when performing your daily activities.
-
Drink skim milk. Skim milk will give you all the nutrients from normal milk but without the extra fat.
-
Use health supplements. These products cost money, but they are immensely helpful. Specially when doing a diet, you’ll need some type of compensation to get the needed vitamins. So, the most important supplements are the multi-vitamins. I personally use the ones from GNC and they work great..
-
Spend some time stripping fat off the meat when cooking. The fat in the meat has plenty of calories, you’ll be doing a lot for your health just spending a few extra minutes.
-
Instead of common oil for cooking, use canola or olive oil. Using these type of oils will have a great impact on your health, because you are no longer ingesting trans fatty acids.
-
Eat fish! Fish is great for your health. It contains Omega-3, a type of fat that is beneficial for our health. I live in a place where there is great fish food, so every time I get the chance , I prepare a delicious ‘cebiche’.
